Welcome to the Health News Section
Our new Health News section is here to help you stay informed, stay healthy, and take care of yourself. This page focuses on important topics including Hepatitis C, Lyme disease, mental health, and self-care tips.
Hepatitis C is a virus that affects the liver. Learning how it spreads, how to prevent it, and how it can be treated is important for protecting yourself and others. Lyme disease comes from tiny ticks and can make you feel tired, have a fever, or joint pain. Knowing how to prevent tick bites and stay safe outdoors is an important part of keeping healthy.
We also focus on mental health, giving guidance and support for dealing with stress, anxiety, and everyday challenges. Taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body. Along with that, we share self-care tips — simple, practical ways to look after yourself every day. Things like getting enough rest, doing activities that make you happy, and practicing mindfulness can help you feel stronger, healthier, and more balanced.
This Health News section is for everyone — self-advocates, families, caregivers, and support workers. We want to give you easy-to-understand, helpful information that empowers you to make informed choices and live a healthier life.
Stay tuned for updates, stories, and resources that help you learn, protect yourself, and take care of your body and mind.

We’re the BC Hepatitis Network.
The BC Hepatitis Network is a registered charity working to prevent new viral hepatitis infections while providing education and support to all affected by hepatitis in British Columbia. BC Hepatitis Network provides hepatitis education, peer-to-peer support, peer mentorship and training, hepatitis C screening & linking to care events, connection to services, and advocacy. We work with people living with hepatitis and others affected, and partner with community-based organizations and government to address concerns about hepatitis prevention, care, treatment access and support.
