This month’s theme: Christmas, the Holidays and staying active
The Kamloops Self Advocate Newsletter wants to wish everyone a Happy Holiday.
December’s issue is about Christmas, the Holidays and staying active over the Christmas break while at the same time not packing on too many extra pounds.
There are Christmas Parties and Christmas dinners with lots of delicious food. It’s a wonderful time of year to spend time with your family, friends and co-workers.
If you don’t like the act of exercise find something fun that could also count as exercise. Limit screen time and go out into the world and have fun.
Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, there are winter activities even for you. Building a snowman when snow starts to fall is exercise and fun. Remember to bundle up warm, its cold out there. There are different ways to stay active in December.
Snowshoeing, ice skating and sledge hockey for those with challenges are great for those who love outdoor activities in the winter.
For those who like indoor activities, try Zumba or Indoor Rock Climbing. It’s time to set goals for your business or personal life and what you want to do in the new year.
For those who like to set new year’s resolutions, good luck.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to everyone. May 2020 bring you peace and joy.
